Daniel Röhn - Violin / Viola
The Headline "Three giants and a young god" appeared in the
Süddeutsche Zeitung, after a concert of music by Handel, Bach and Mozart, performed by
violinist Daniel Röhn in Munich.? And none other than Ruggiero Ricci declared,
having heard the young virtuoso in Chicago: "His playing reminds one of Szeryng and
Heifetz!"
Born in 1979, in the third generation of a family of outstanding violinists - his
grandfather Erich Röhn was Furtwaengler's first concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic
- Daniel received early musical training from his father Andreas Röhn and continued his
studies with Ana Chumachenco at the Musikhochschule Munchen.? He sought further
advice and inspiration from artists such as Yuri Bashmet, Ivry Gitlis, Anne-Sophie Mutter
and Pichas Zukerman.
As a soloist, Daniel Röhn has performed with numerous orchestras in Germany(including the
Radio Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the chamber orchestra of
the Bavarian Radio, and the Bavarian Radio Orchestra), in the United States, Mexico,

orchestra under Riccardo Muti.? Beside that , he performed at the Rheingau-Festival,
the Schleswig-Holstein Festival, several chamber music festivals in France(Tour, Mulhouse,
